Have you ever had something to just inspire you?????? One advantage to living in a Smalltown, USA is the peaceful drive to work. One morning recently the sky was absolutely beautiful..almost like ocean waves in the sky.

This pot is already sold....it is to be a gift for a cancer survivor....I have never named a pot before...but I thought HAPPY seemed appropriate!!!!!!!!!!! I hope to grout it tomorrow.

Lesson of the day?

I recently made a trip to Lowe's to purchase much needed blue tile for projects....well...today I need to start a new project and went to "poke" around in my tile stash. I found an entire box of blue tiles hidden away....is there a moral to this story.....do I have tooooooooo much tile?????

NOT..lol

I also went to the local thrift stores today and found five new future projects!!! Now I can think of new designs!!

Yard sale find....a set of two trivets....beautiful tiles!!!

Wooden Box

A yard sale find!!!!!!

I found this wooden box yesterday and just as soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to do with it...the only challenge was...would the tile I had picked out fit....well they DID!!!!!! It had this fabric design on the top and of course it was glued down....it took me over an hour to scrape it all off...but it was well worth the trouble. Trash to treasure!!!!!!!!!!!! SOLD!!!!

Finished Pot Two

Well...here's the finished product.....I am adding two pictures so you can see all four different tile colors.

Second Pot

This is a pot to be used in a baby's room. I used one tile each of yellow, pink, aqua and green. The rest of the tiles are an off white. I have NOT finished the painting so this is only a preview. It will probably take at least five coats of yellow paint to make it look right. SOLD

New Pot

This turned out better than I expected. This is one of two pots that were ordered for gifts...she asked for blue and grey!!! I had my doubts before I started it...but I must admit....the colors look great together. Take notice that I used two different shades of the blue for a little interest. SOLD

Margaret's Pot

Well...I finally made good on my promise.....I planted a Christmas cactus in the 60's vintage pot and tiles and delivered it to her on Saturday. She seemed very pleased......a wonderful lady....great friend. I hope when looks at the little pot she will think of me and smile.

I have started on two flower pots (that are already sold) and a flower on a piece of wood with a hanger on the back.... I really can't call it a picture frame....you will just have to wait for the pictures. Hopefully I will have them completed later in the week.

Jewelry Box

This is the only project that I completed this weekend. A small jewelry box....the color didn't show true...it is a soft pink.

Riverfest 9.20.08

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came to visit me at Riverfest!!! I saw many friends and even a dear classmate and her wonderful and sweet girls....I know you look at my blog and you know exactly who I'm talking about!!!!!!

I only brought three items home and they fit in a small plastic bag!!!! I could not be more pleased. I never in my wildest dreams ever...ever...thought I would do that good!!!

Thank you to dear friends and family members who pitched in and made it a wonderful day!! I think we all worked well together and made a lot of hard work go smoothly and with a few jokes along the way!!

A good time was had by all.......and the all........are very tired today......rest......
